The new six-story, $175 million, 342,000-square-foot expansion will include a 10,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, an outdoor resort-style pool area, and 20,000-square feet of additional convention and meeting room space, for dinners, shows and special events. About 100 California companies are building the hotel, employing about 1,000 in the trades. Though the planned opening is still three months away, Graton Resort & Casino in central Sonoma County is already taking reservations for its new 200-room hotel and is looking to fill 300 positions to staff the expansion and the existing resort.
